Little Fox Digital Radio wins ACRA Award

Little Fox Digital Radio was named Best Digital Radio Format in the 32nd Australian Commercial Radio Awards (the ACRAS). Gemma Fordham, James Speed, Mathew Eggleston & Aaron Sokolenko won the award for SCA.
 
Little Fox was created in just four days as a temporary station when Melbourne went into Covid-19 restrictions. It remained on air for ten months, entertaining and educating children during the difficult lock-down days.
 
Heard by thousands each week, Little Fox featured lively and informative content including ‘Dad jokes’, virtual book readings and discos, celebrity book readings, and hourly shout-outs so children could connect with their friends and their extended family during lockdown.
 
Little Fox took the top prize against other nominees in the category; Coles Radio; The Coles Radio Team, NOVA Entertainment, Triple M Classic Rock; SCA Digital Radio Team, Southern Cross Austereo, Santa Radio; SCA Digital Radio Team, Southern Cross Austereo.
 
In other awards, Kyle and Jackie O Show won Best On-Air Team (Metro FM),with the KIIS 1065 breakfast duo, achieving their seventh win in the category (2006, 2007, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2018).
 
2GB’s drive time host Ben Fordham won Best Talk Presenter for the sixth time. This is his first in the breakfast slot, having previously won for his work in drive.
 
The Best On-Air Team (Metro AM) was won by 3AW Breakfast with Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft. Howcroft, who is best known for his role as a panelist on ABC’s Gruen, started his radio career when he joined the show in August last year.
 
The Best Newcomer On-Air award was taken out by comedian Joel Creasey, who joined Kate Ritchie and Tim Blackwell on NOVA Entertainment’s Kate, Tim & Joel drive show a year ago. The show won the Best Networked Program and Best Syndicated Australian Program awards.
