Your trusty AM/FM radio has served you well for years, so why should you upgrade to DAB+ digital radio?  Well there are plenty of reasons to embrace this new technology.

Digital radio was launched in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth in 2009, and 27 percent of the population have already made the switch.

If you’re still on analogue, here are our top five reasons to upgrade:

1.  Great sound
Whether you’re a fan of talkback or music, digital radio provides superior audio quality and reception.

2.  More stations
Just like when TV went digital, DAB+ provides more choice – you can tune in to up to 30 more radio stations depending on which city you live in.  Whether it’s live sports, jazz, chillout music or rock, you’ll find it on digital radio.

3.  Easy to use
No more twiddling the dial – with digital radio, stations are listed by name so you can find stations with a simple touch.

4.  Onscreen information
Digital radios have screens displaying text and some even show images, such as song and artist information and breaking news.

5.  Free to air
Unlike streaming services which use data, there are no subscription fees or data costs when listening to DAB+.
