Can I Get Digital Radio?

DAB+ digital radio is currently available in the five metropolitan capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. The digital radio signal in these markets is operating at full power and installation of additional repeater sites since launch in 2009 has continued to improve coverage. Low power DAB+ trial signals commenced in Canberra in July 2010 and Darwin in August 2010.

To check the DAB+ digital radio coverage in your area, please enter your postcode or suburb in the field provided below.

The radio industry believes that all Australians should have access to free-to-air DAB+ digital radio, not just those residing in the five metropolitan capital cities. If you agree, please visit and enter your postcode to sign the online petition, letting your Federal member know that you want access to digital radio. You can also opt to send a message directly to your local member to further make the point that all Australians should have access to free-to-air digital radio services.

Remember - when first tuning your radio in - it is important to set the radio to "Full Scan" and not "Local Scan" when searching for stations.
